Mero Mero v. 2.0

Looks like my meromero is all grown up now.... <weep>
I havn't updated this blog for awhile, and I haven been playing with the New Blogger features, jiggling with the templates all weekend. I guess that stimulated my meromero's growth... :)

New MeroMero? Is that a Ghost? 小鬼?

I noticed a weird kind of Mero Mero pet when I was looking for some seeds/items (I will try to explain it in the next entry). At first, I thought it was a glitch in MeroPark's system, but this one is the second one that I have seen. Perhaps MeroPar is getting ready to push the blog-pets into a new growth stage. From what I read, there has already been 'puberty' and 'adulthood', not sure what the new stage is? Anyways, this should be interesting to watch.

Score!

I have been reading up on how these Mero Mero Park pets work. I have seen many of them with different backgrounds, colors and physical features (likes horns, floppy ears..etc). I was a bit worried that my pet WaruNeko was going to grow slowly and stay plain. I was browsing around on the net, and out of the blue, I noticed an hat on the field. A simple click added the hat to my inventory. After "equipting" the hat, lots of sun-flowers showed up on my field! This is cool! Now my field doesn't look so boring. Not sure how I got the hat in the first place. I was reading another page that mentioned hats. Maybe that is how it works... When I get more time, I will write down what I have learned so far.

Meromero discovery!

I was cruzing around on the web today, and found "blogpets". These seems to be very popular on Japanese/Chinese blogs. I got one from Meromero Park and another from Cocoa Island. From what I understand, they "feed" on your blog entries. The more you blog, the faster they "grow". The pets can also "travel" to your friends' blog (the social aspect). There are also some virtual-plants out there that you can grow and "cross-breed". I guess this is the next Tamagochi... Aren't they cute?
